<p>A thermal recording material comprising a support and a thermal recording layer formed thereon containing a color formation system consisting of an electron-donating colorless dye and an electron-accepting compound, wherein a compound represented by the general formula: R1 - Ph - SO2R2 [wherein R1 is hydroxyl or alkyl; R2 is -Ph, -NH-Ph, -Ph-OR3, or -NH-CO-NH-Ph; R3 is alkyl; and Ph is phenyl] is contained as the electron-accepting compound and at least the thermal recording layer is one produced by curtain coating of a coating fluid.</p> |
