<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-way clutch with the longer operating life and the less energy loss by sufficiently restraining heat generation and wear at idling. <P>SOLUTION: Energizing force F of a spring 6 for energizing a roller 4 to mesh it into a portion between an outer peripheral surface of an inner ring 1. A cam surface 2a of an outer ring 2 is designed so as to be larger than a maximal value of force generated by the roller 4 moving in the opposite energizing direction through angular acceleration arising at the action of a starter, and besides smaller than force generated by the roller 4 moving in the opposite energizing direction through centrifugal force arising at idling rotation of an engine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
