<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print image frames corresponding to motion pictures at a high speed while maintaining a high resolution. <P>SOLUTION: In a device 10 for printing image frames from a digital image file of a motion picture, the digital image file of the motion picture is stored on a local disk 14 of a computer 12 or the like. Inside an optical assembly a called print engine 24, a drivable two-dimensional reflection LCD modulator 23 is provided. The LCD modulator 23 has a plurality of prescribed pixels, a plurality of pixels are driven in response to the digital image file, and visible images corresponding to respective motion picture frames are generated and recorded on a photosensitive medium in response to incident light from arrays 36, 38 and 40 of red, green and blue LED as color light sources. The photosensitive medium 22 is positioned on a film gate 46 by a medium feed system and a print position is rightly aligned. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
