RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR TIRE BURST INHIBITORY SEALANT, PNEUMATIC TIRE HAVING ADHESIVE SEALANT LAYER AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tire burst inhibitory sealant that can give the sealant layer high tackiness as a result of space reduction in the inside of the sealant layer by suppressing the gas liberation in the tacky sealant layer, when the tacky sealant is formed by the heat-treatment of a polyisobutylene and peroxide composition, further provide pneumatic tires having the tacky sealant layer, and a method of producing the same. SOLUTION: The rubber composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of polyisobutylene, 0.2-20 pts.wt. of a peroxide and 5-50 pts.wt. of at least one selected from liquid ethylene-α-olefin copolymer, liquid polybutadiene and liquid polyisoprene. The rubber composition is heat-treated to obtain the tacky sealant layer. The pneumatic tire has the tacky sealant layer provided in the tire main body. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
