PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lightweight and inexpensive mirror which is made light in weight and whose rigidity is enhanced. SOLUTION: The lightweight mirror used in a telescope, an optical sensor or an optical antenna mounted at, for instance, the supporting body of an artificial satellite or the like possesses a mirror surface on a front side, and several concave-shaped holes 2 are formed through columnar rib parts 13a and 13b on a rear side, and the lightweight mirror possesses a core 15 supported by the supporting body by several supporting points 4 provided at the rib part 13a, and the width t1 of the rib part 13a connecting the supporting points 4 with each other is set larger than the width t2 of the other rib part 13b.
