PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleansing preparation for the skin which gives a mild feeling to the skin, and has an excellent frothing ability and lather quality, as well as it possesses an excellent feeling of use. SOLUTION: This creamy cleansing preparation for the skin is characterized in that it contains (A) an N-acyl acidic amino acid salt, (B) a sulfosuccinic acid type surface active agent, and (C) an 8-22C higher fatty acid salt, and has pH not higher than 7.0, and further it contains (D) a polyethylene glycol in an amount of 5 to 20 mass% on the basis of the whole amount of the creamy cleansing preparation for the skin.
