PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire, which can have both high driving stability and durability. SOLUTION: The pneumatic radial tire is provided with two side reinforcing layers 9 extending outward from the near part of a bead core 5 in the radial direction of the tire. The side reinforcing layers 9 consists of an inner side reinforcing layer 9A and an outer side reinforcing layer 9B, which are laminated in such a way that the steel cords (s) of one reinforcing layer cross that of the other reinforcing layer with the direction of inclination of each steel cords against the tire circumference direction T revert to each other. The angles of inclinationθA andθB of the steel cords (s) of the side reinforcing layers 9A, 9B are set within a range of 50°to 70°, respectively. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
