PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print controller for enhancing the print throughput by suppressing retry operation regardless of the individual difference, aging, environmental variation, and the like, of respective printers. SOLUTION: At a specified time in the way of driving a PF motor Mp for feeding a recording sheet P to a print position, a DC unit 33 actuates a carriage motor Mc for moving a carriage 14 carrying a recording head 15 in the printing direction. When carriage of the recording sheet P by the PF motor Mp has not yet ended before the recording head 15 reaches a print start position, the DC unit 33 interrupts print operation of the recording head 15 and stops the carriage motor Mc before starting retry operation.
