PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make high a quality of forming images by improving the position accuracy of a spacer 12 to a toner pass control means 3 and to reduce costs necessary for maintenance, by making only the spacer 12 easily replaceable in an imaging apparatus which images by discharging a toner 2 via the toner pass control means 3 from a toner carrier 1 while the spacer 12 is set between the toner carrier 1 and the toner pass control means 3. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is constituted of a development unit 51 with the toner carrier 1, a holder unit 52 with the toner pass control means 3 having a plurality toner pass holes 4 and 4 arranged for passing the toner 2 of the toner carrier 1, and a spacer unit 53 set detachably to the holder unit 52 and having the spacer 12 arranged to butt against both of the toner pass control means 3 near the toner pass holes 4 and the toner carrier 1 in a state while the development unit 51 is coupled with the holder unit 52.
