PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the cylinder mechanism of an printing apparatus which can easily replace a fouling preventing sheet. SOLUTION: A delivery cylinder 17 has a pair of side plates, a guide plate 45, and a gripper comprising a shaft 43 stretched between chains 19 of a pair, a claw seat 41, and a plurality of claws 42 rotating around the shaft 43. A winding shaft 36 for taking up the fouling preventing sheet 44 is arranged rotatably in relation to the side plates between the side plates. A handle 36 is connected to the end part of the winding shaft 36 through a one-way clutch 37. Between the side plates of a pair, a feed shaft 39 for feeding the sheet 44 is arranged rotatably in relation to the side plates.
