PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminator allowing the cut surface of a laminating film to cross the lateral sides of the film at a right angle and making the control of the cutting position of the laminating film by a cutter highly accurate. SOLUTION: The laminator is equipped with first and second feed rollers successively arranged in a feed direction from an upstream side on the downstream side of a pressure roller for introducing discontinuous paper sheets into the space between the long transparent laminating films, led out from the rolls of the laminating films to bond them to the laminating films under pressure and the cutter arranged on the downstream side of the second feed roller; and has a feed speed control mechanism for individually decelerating the first and second feed rollers when the front and rear positions of each of the discontinuous paper sheets held between the laminated films are detected by sensors, for detecting the front and rear positions of each of the discontinuous paper sheets to reduce the feed speeds of both feed rollers and subsequently stopping the second feed roller to operate the cutter while slackening the laminating films and controlling the speeds of the first and second feed rollers thereafter to remove the slackening of the laminating films.
