METHOD OF EXAMINING ALLERGIC DISEASE

GBP1 is identified as a gene which shows a significant decrease in its expression level in cells contained in peripheral blood monocytes (PBMC) of a patient suffering from an allergic disease in case of stimulating the PBMC with a mite allergen in vitro. It is found out that this gene is usable in examining the allergic disease and screening a remedy therefor. It is also found out that an allergenic activity can be evaluated with the use of this gene as an indication. Thus, a compound useful in treating the allergic disease can be screened.
