<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control system, which has a control function with respect to the amount of addition of fuel, allows a compact construction as an accessory unit of engine side, and furthermore has a fuel adding means with high practical utility for which thermal measures have been taken so that burning due to exposure to hot exhaust gas and burning of added fuel within flow channel can be avoided with reliability. <P>SOLUTION: A post-treatment device for exhaust gas 8 requiring the addition of hydrocarbon is equipped on the way of an exhaust flow channel, and an injector 11 for injecting the fuel into the exhaust gas 8 is disposed at upstream from the post-treatment device in the exhaust flow channel, and such a construction is adopted that cooling water can be supplied/discharged to/from the water jacket 13 by making the water jacket 13 to cradle the circumference around the injector 11 as well. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
