<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibody capable of specifically determining metastin or a derivative thereof in high sensitivity, and further to provide a method for detecting and determining the metastin or the derivative thereof by using the antibody, and a diagnostic agent (e.g. pregnancy test) using them. <P>SOLUTION: This antibody specifically reacts with a partial peptide at the N-terminus or the C-terminus of a polypeptide having an amino acid sequence represented by a specified sequence, or a derivative thereof.
