PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin fine particle containing an oil-soluble dye and a dispersion liquid thereof. SOLUTION: The resin fine particle is prepared by an emulsion polymerization of an ethylenic monomer in water or a liquid mainly composed of water in the presence of a methine dye having a specified structure, a surface active agent and a water soluble polymerization initiator, wherein 0.1 wt.% or more of the methine dye is contained in the resin fine particle.
