PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a slide glass housing case which prevents the slide glass housed therein from falling, can decrease the chances of scattering and makes taking-off and housing simple. SOLUTION: The slide glass housing case is respectively integrally formed with an upper case 2 and a lower case 3. The lower case 3 is opened on a top surface 31 side, has a closed bottom 32, is formed to the depth to upwardly expose a frosted part 55a of the slide glass in the case of vertical placement of the slide glass 55 and the width complied with the width of the slide glass, is formed with a slide glass housing section 33 provided with at least a partition 34 and has a fitting section 35 made thinner in the wall down to the position lower than the top surface 31. The upper case 2 has a closed top surface 21 and an opened under surface 22, is formed with a housing section 23 of the depth to permit housing of the remaining portion of the slide glass 55 housed in the lower case 3 and has a fitting section 25 opposed to be fittable to the fitting section 35 of the lower case 3 on the under surface 22 side.
