PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem with a conventional display device in which many display items are contained in a compact liquid display device that the display items cannot be confirmed from a remote place. SOLUTION: This display device of a combustor comprises an operating part for performing operational instructions and various settings, a control part 2 for controlling the operation by the instructions of the operating part 1, and a display part 3 for displaying the operating state by the control part 2. The display part comprises a liquid display device having a back light, and the back light can be switched between two or more colors. Since the display color of the back light of the liquid display device can be switched between two or more colors according to the operating states specific to the combustor such as 'strong combustion', 'weak combustion', 'thermo OFF', 'energy-saved operation', '3-hour prior notice of extinction', 'timer operation', and 'fueling', the operating state can be easily known by the color of the back light even at a position apart from the combustor.
