PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To respond to a requirement that a structure is easily assembled and abundantly feeds lubricating oil to a ball joint part for smoothing sliding between a ball body and a ball seat in a hermetically sealed compressor having the ball joint. SOLUTION: This hermetically sealed compressor is provided with a planar cut part in parallel to a ring in the outside diameter of the ball body of a connecting rod constituting the ball joint, and a groove for inserting the ball body from a crankshaft side end part, or an opened end of a piston, in the ball seat direction. The groove is provided with the ball joint part having the width of the planar cut part of the ball body in a hermetically sealed compression state. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
