<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article carrier facility capable of improving carrier efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: This article carrier device is furnished with a plurality of carrier carriages 3 to carry an article R between stations 6 arranged along a carrier route 4 by self-travelling by being guided by a pair of travelling rails 1 forming the carrier route 4, and a by-pass route 5 to by-pass at least the station 6A high in transfer-place frequency of the article out of the stations 6 is provided in the carrier route 4. In this constitution, it is possible to eliminate jamming of the carrier carriages 3 and to improve the carrier efficiency by providing the by-pass route 5 to by-pass the station 6A high in the transfer-place frequency of the article, that is, where there are many stopping chances of the carrier carriages 3 to perform transferring and placing of the article and the jamming of the carrier carriages 3 easily occurs in the carrier route 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
