<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrophotographic toner and electrophotographic developer which obtain, without degrading the image quality of a visible image when viewing the visible image provided on a recording medium surface together with an unvisible image, (1) an unvisible image that stably ensures mechanical reading with infrared ray light emission and decoding over a long period and also enables high density recording of information, (2) an unvisible image that can be provided in an arbitrary area regardless of an area of the recording medium surface in which the visible image is provided, and (3) an invisible image that exhibits anti-counterfeit effect or the like by a gloss difference when viewed, and to provide an image forming method using the electrophotographic toner and the electrophotographic developer. <P>SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner comprises at least a binding resin and a near-infrared light absorbing material made of inorganic-material particles. The absorption rate of the electrophotographic toner in a visible light area is 15% or less, and the average dispersion diameter of the near- infrared light absorbing material is 50 to 800 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
