DEVELOPING UNIT AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing unit and image forming apparatus which are in simpler structure for holding a developing roller 344 and a developing blade 394 at the same potential. SOLUTION: The developing unit which drives the developing roller 344 and the developing blade 394 by applying bias voltage of the same potential is equipped with a conductive rolling bearing 12 which supports the rotary shaft 343 of the developing roller rotatably and a conductive blade gap positioning plate 11 which is fitted in a conductive state to the rolling bearing 12 and abuts against the developing blade 394 to position the developing blade 394 at a specific interval with a developer stuck surface of the developing roller 344. The voltage applied to the developing blade 393 is applied to the rotary shaft 343 through the positioning plate 11 and rolling bearing 12 and transmitted to the rotary sleeve of the developing roller.
