DIE FOR SPINNING OPTICAL FIBER, DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SPINNING OPTICAL FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for spinning an optical fiber able to perform stable resin coating even when spinning speed is increased, capable of achieving high productivity and a low cost, and to provide a die for spinning the optical fiber in this spinning method. SOLUTION: An interfacial shearing velocity between a bare optical fiber and a coating material is calculated by using a coating material pressure in a coating pot and the die to coat the resin on the bare optical fiber is produced so that the interfacial shearing velocity is in the range of -1.5×105to 0 sec-1. The interfacial shearing velocity between the optical fiber coated by the resin and the coating material is calculated from a coating diameter and the die to coat the resin on the optical fiber already coated with the resin is manufactured so that the interfacial shearing velocity is in the range of -3×105to 2×105sec-1.
