PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular steering system that can set an operation limit of an operating member arbitrarily in dependence on a need in design, a driver's inclination and the like, and can change a steering characteristic in dependence on the set point. SOLUTION: A movement of a steering actuator 2 is transmitted to wheels 4 to produce a steering angle change. The setting of operation limits of the operating member 1 from a neutral position can be changed. A ratio of a turning degree of the wheels 4 to an operating degree of the operating member 1 is reduced with increasing magnitude of the set point of the operation limits of the operating member 1 from the neutral position. When the operating degree of the operating member 1 from the neutral position reaches the set operation limits, an operation actuator 19 is controlled to generate an operation reaction that blocks an operation of the operating member in a direction away from the neutral position.
