PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturizable rotary orifice type control valve by reducing useless space in a valve casing even if the size of an opening is enlarged to cope with clogging. SOLUTION: A valve element 7 consisting of a fixed board 5 and a movable board 6 is installed in a valve casing 3, and the movable board 6 is overlapped rotatably with respect to the fixed board 5 and slidably contacting with the upstream side of the fixed board 5. A driving device is installed for rotating the movable board 6 in the valve casing 3, a fixed side opening part 10 is formed at the fixed board 5, and a movable opening part 11 is formed at the movable board 6. An area of overlapping part of the movable opening 11 with the fixed opening 10 is the opening area, and the opening area increases and decreases by rotating the movable board 6.
