<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material and a method for forming a color filter with no gap and no difference in level between respective pixels of blue (B), green (G) and red (R) colors and a black matrix. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter forming material is characterized by consisting of three kinds of laser thermal transfer sheets having at least a thermo-optical conversion layer and an R, G or B picture forming layer on a supporting body and a wet developing transfer sheet having at least a black (K) photosensitive resin layer on the supporting body (1). The method for forming the color filter comprises superposing the thermal transfer sheet described in (1) on a picture receiving sheet and making laser light irradiate the superposed sheets in a shape of a picture from the side of the thermal transfer sheet so as to form a picture composed of R, G and B on the picture receiving sheet, superposing the wet-developing transfer sheet described in (1) on the picture so as to transfer the photosensitive resin layer thereto, subsequently applying radiation to the superposed sheets from the rear surface side of the picture receiving sheet and next wet-developing the same, and subsequently heat processing the same (2). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
