<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic device for a vehicular switch, having less possible diagnostic errors resulting from working conditions and high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: A first auxiliary switch Sw1 detects whether a brake pedal footed at an initial position reaches a first predetermined position or not, a second auxiliary switch Sw2 detects whether the brake pedal 1 reaches a second predetermined position between the initial position and the first predetermined position or not, and a main switch Sw3 detects whether the brake pedal 1 reaches a third predetermined position between the first predetermined position and the second predetermined position or not. An ECM 7 determines that the main switch Sw3 is in failure when the first auxiliary switch Sw1 detects that the brake pedal 1 reaches the first predetermined position, the second auxiliary switch Sw2 detects that it reaches the second predetermined position and the main switch Sw3 does not detect that it reaches the third predetermined position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
