PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow removing instrument which is available in snow removing work carried out from below a roof, can very easily separate and remove snow on the roof without operation that imposes a burden on members of an eaves edge, and is improved in compactness thereof during unused time. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the snow removing instrument, a snow cutting corrugated plate 40 having a corrugated cross section, for cutting snow on the roof, is attached to a long rod 20 for operation from below the roof, via width determining members 30, such that the snow cutting corrugated plate 40 is elastically deformed like the U letter. Each width determining member 30 is detachably fixed to the long rod 20 via clamps 25, 25, respectively. Then, the long rod 20 is operated such that the snow cutting corrugated plate 40 pierces the snow on the roof at the eaves edge, and then laterally rocked. As a result, the snow on the roof taken into the snow cutting corrugated plate 40 and engaged with the corrugated shape of the same is rocked together with the snow cutting corrugated plate 40, whereby the snow taken into the corrugated plate 40 is separated from the snow on the roof to slide down.
