PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection solution containing a shark-originating iron chondroitin sulfate colloid which is excellent in pharmaceutical safety, and also is excellent in safety when conducting high calory transfusion, and the like, wherein the injection solution can be used safety and clinically without anxiety about infection with BSE. SOLUTION: This injection solution contains the shark-originating iron chondroitin sulfate colloid, and a method for manufacturing the injection solution containing the shark-originating iron chondroitin sulfate is characterized by adding an aqueous solution of ferric sulfate and an aqueous solution of an alkali metal hydroxide to an aqueous solution of a shark-originating chondroitin sulfate salt so as to control the pH value of the thus obtained mixed solution to an optional value in the range of about pH 5.5 to 7.5.
