PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily washable hair cosmetic which can keep the gloss of set hairs and prevent the flaking when combing, and which, in particular, has excellent moisture resistance giving resilient hair setting properties with high curl holding power even in a high humidity condition, and at the same time, giving natural texture as well as soft and smooth feeling. SOLUTION: This hair cosmetic comprises an amphoteric polyurethane resin containing a polysiloxane chain having a structure unit derived from a compound represented by formula (1) wherein R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>6</SP>-R<SP>9</SP>represent each an alkyl group; R<SP>2</SP>-R<SP>4</SP>represent each C<SB>n</SB>H<SB>2n</SB>provided that (n) is an integer of 1-3; R<SP>5</SP>represents C<SB>n</SB>H<SB>2n</SB>provided that (n) is an integer of 3-5; R<SP>10</SP>represents methyl group or ethyl group; (m) represents an integer of 1-200), and/or an amphoteric polyurethane resin holding a polysiloxane compound and a saponified fatty acid with the saponification degree of 50% or higher.
