<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for closing the toe of a cylindrical knitted product for producing stockings and socks, wherein a closing device (4) having a plate (9) and a corresponding plate (13) is equipped for closing the toe, the plate (9) and the plate (13) are complimentarily composed and configurationally connected each other at their ends and the plate (13) is set not to damage a plate (9) even when the plate (13) is moved to excess against the plate (9). <P>SOLUTION: This mechanism includes the plate (9) having a receiver tip part and the plate (13) having an admission part and the receiver tip part comprises a receiver hopper (28) composed of the tips of two limbs bent to be elastically expanded to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
