<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve thermal efficiency as an apparatus, to reduce the heat radiation loss from the apparatus by a simple constitution and to recover waste heat to be effectively used in a hydrogen generating apparatus of a system for subjecting a hydrocarbon-based fuel and water to a reforming reaction. <P>SOLUTION: In the hydrogen generating apparatus provided with a hydrocarbon-based fuel feed part, a fuel combustion part, a water supply part for supplying water, a water evaporating part for evaporating the gas to be reformed containing the fuel and water or the water and a reforming part packed with a reforming catalyst for generating a hydrogen-containing reformed gas from the gas to be reformed, at least the reforming part and the water evaporating part are heated by a combustion waste gas generated at the combustion part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
