<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save electric power. <P>SOLUTION: A transmitter 10 transmits a radio wave of a prescribed pulse signal modulated by a super-wide band impulse communication system to an area within a monitoring area 18. A receiver 20 has an antenna 16 for receiving at least one out of the radio wave and a radio wave provided by reflection of the radio wave within the monitoring area 18, a delay profile characteristic value detecting part 21 for detecting a delay profile characteristic value of the received radio wave, a comparison part 23 for detecting the presence of an intrusion subject within the monitoring area 18, using the delay profile characteristic value S22 detected under the condition where no intrusion subject exists within the monitoring area 18 and the delay profile characteristic value S21 detected in a monitoring time, and a notification part 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
