PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection device for reducing transmission loss of a driving force and reducing displacement volume of a piezoelectric element. SOLUTION: A high pressure chamber 60 is formed on the outer periphery side of a hydraulic chamber 43. Fuel whose pressure is equal to that in a common rail is supplied to the hydraulic chamber 43 and the high pressure chamber 60 from a high pressure passage 12. Thereby, a holder 40 forming the hydraulic chamber 43 receives not only pressure of fuel of the hydraulic chamber 43 but alto pressure of fuel of the high pressure chamber 60. Thus, deformation of the holder 40 due to pressure of the fuel of the hydraulic chamber 43 is reduced, so as to reduce clearances formed between the holder 40 and a piezo- piston 52 and a valve piston 53. As a result, fuel leaked from the hydraulic chamber 43 via the clearance to the low pressure side such as a cylinder 27 is reduced, so as to reduce transmission loss of a driving force due to leakage of hydraulic pressure of the hydraulic chamber 43.
