PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging material reducing the generation of an environmental problem and having a surface decorative layer such as a printing layer or the like excellent in mechanical characteristics such as rigidity, slip properties, heat resistance or the like at a low cost. SOLUTION: The surface decorative layer of the packaging material comprising a laminate having paper or a polyolefin containing an inorganic filler as a core material comprises an ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene layer containing ultrafine filler with a mean particle size of below 1μm or a layer containing ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene.
