<p>The invention concerns a device for decoding (28) satellite-retransmitted scrambled digital data (3) for a television receiver set (14), comprising smart card reading means, algorithmic processing means (17) including means for comparing the value of one or several access control keys stored in a storage of said smart card with one or several specific values, to authorize descrambling or not. The algorithmic processing means comprise means (30, 32) designed to test the card itself on the basis of predetermined criteria so as to discriminate between a genuine card and a counterfeit card, and means for locking its operation on the basis of the result of said test concerning the genuineness of the card.</p> |
