The motor vehicle's seat includes a height adjustable headrest (2) with an operating device in the form a Bowden cable to shift the seat back (1) between an approximate vertical sitting position and a low pivoted position. The headrest through direct pivoting and/or vertical displacement interacts with the Bowden cable in such a way that through the mere pivoting and/or vertical displacement of the headrest the locking of the seat back is withdrawn.
