<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suitable exhaust emission control system which recycles a filter without drastically degrading fuel consumption in the application to a diesel engine or the like. <P>SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control system forcedly reproduces filter by a force reproduction means 63 when a piled particulate quantity which is estimated in such a manner that it may be piled up on the filter by using a pile quantity estimating means 62a or detected exceeds a predetermined value. Further, when a piled particulate quantity which is estimated in such a manner that it may be piled up on the filter by using a pile quantity estimating means 62a or detected exceeds a predetermined value, and an engine condition is detected in a normal running state simultaneously; and also, when an exhaust temperature at an upstream side of the filter which is detected by an exhaust temperature detecting means 53 is a predetermined temperature or more, an operation of the force reproduction means 63 is prohibited by a prohibiting means 65 and the filter is recycled by a catalyst. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
