PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passive sampler for capturing a volatile organic compound that can desorb a volatile organic compound without using any solvents and can measure the volatile organic compound in environment with high sensitivity and accuracy. SOLUTION: A passive sampler for capturing a volatile organic compound is provided, where an adsorbing element comprising an adsorbent that is graphic carbon block and a pair of metal meshes for pinching the adsorbent is accommodated in a container where the volatile organic compound can enter from the outside due to diffusion, thus measuring the volatile organic compound in environment with high sensitivity, accuracy, and reproducibility without using solvents for desorption.
