PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure the circularity of peripheral circle of a cylindrical body 1 at a plurality of measurement positions along the axial line of the cylindrical body 1. SOLUTION: Supporting bodies 4 are respectively installed at both edges of the cylindrical body 1 so that tube expanding pieces 10 of the supporting body being mounted at least three points being equally divided circumferentially along the circle which has the axial line 4a as its center, simultaneously expand the edge of the cylindrical body outward from the inside. Then, the cylindrical body is rotated around the axial line 4a passing through both the supporting bodies 4 while being supported by both the supporting bodies 4 installed at the both edges so as to be rotated freely.
