<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-way clutch in which a roller can be floated certainly even if centrifugal force acting on the roller is small and therefore heat generation and abrasion at idling are fully restrained to enable a long operating life and a less energy loss. <P>SOLUTION: N (N is an integral number not less than 3) pieces of rollers 4 are arranged at equal intervals between inner and outer rings. Further, in a spring (an energizing member) 6 energizing each of the rollers 4, an axis of the spring (energizer) is made to conform to a side (d) of a regular tetragon D circumscribing a circle C1 defining its radius as the sum of radiuses of an inner ring 1 and rollers 4 and its center as an axial center O of the inner and outer rings. Furthermore, the axis of the spring is supported at the outer ring 2 side so as to contact with the roller 4 at an apex d1 side nearer in the direction opposite to that of energizing motion of the spring 6 than a middle point d0 on the side (d). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
