<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray foreign matter inspection device having a door which has a structure capable of easily performing the cleaning of the interior of a hood and the opening and closing of the hood using the opening and closing door of the hood. <P>SOLUTION: The joined part and opening and closing mechanism of the door 6 and the hood 2 are constituted of a structure first connecting the door 6 to the supports formed to both sides of the hood 2 through a support shaft to support the same on the hood 2, and having a torsion spring 8 provided horizontally along the tangential lines of both lower side surfaces of the door 6. The torsion spring 8 is joined to a main body fixing part 10 on one end side thereof and joined to a door fixing part 11 on the other end side thereof. In the structure of the torsion spring 8, torsion is produced between the main body fixing part 10 and the door fixing part 11 when the upper side of the door 6 is rotated forwardly. The door 6 forms no gap or unevenness in the contact surface with the hood in opening of the door by the employment of the torsion spring 8, a joining method for joining the torsion spring 8 to the interior of a bottom surface, and the rod-like structure of the torsion spring 8.
