<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a limited slip differential assembly which can be inexpensively manufactured and can be easily assembled. <P>SOLUTION: A friction clutch assembly 32, an actuator motor 52, a clutch actuator 80, and a gear module 60, which connects the actuator motor to the clutch actuator so as to generate a drive action, are provided. The gear module 60 is provided with a casing 64 having first and second mounting flanges 66, 68 for fixing the casing to a differential housing 12 and the actuator motor, two gear support arms 65 extending into the differential housing from the first mounting flange 66, a gear axis 78 supported by the gear support arms 65, and a pair of coaxial decelerating gear members 74, 76 connected to the gear axis.
