PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dithiocarbamate having an alkylthio substituent and a hydroxy substituent. SOLUTION: The economical nonabrasive agent contains a new dithiocarbamate having an alkylthio substituent and a hydroxy substituent and can be compounded into low phosphorus lubricants. The dithiocarbamate compound imparts practical anti-oxidant property to the lubricants and does not impair fuel economy. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
