PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor for a tire condition which enables transmission and reception of a message at an optimum bit rate regardless of an engine condition, whether the engine drives or stops. SOLUTION: A transmitter 30 transmits transmission data at a bit rate of 1 kbps when speed of a vehicle 10 is less than 40 km/h. When the engine stops, a receiver 40 receives the transmission data by an intermittent action. Then the transmitter 30 transmits the transmission data at a bit rate of 20 kbps when speed of the vehicle 10 is 40 km/h or more. Then the receiver 40 receives the transmission data by a normal action, which is always an on condition, when the engine drives. Especially when the engine stops, an intermittent action of a reception circuit of the receiver 40 is taken. Therefore, the transmission data from the transmitter 30 is stably received by the receiver 40 by controlling electric power consumption of a battery. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
