PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the reduction of applied force by an interference for pressing-in and to hold a ball bearing by a desired force, thereby improving the quietness of an engine, since even if an integrally cast outer bush expands with expansion of a crankcase due to heat in combustion, an inner bush absorbs variation in the diameter of the outer bush. SOLUTION: In a support structure for crankshaft, ball beatings 38, 38 are fitted into a shaft part of the crankshaft 41 to be mounted on a crankcase 34 made of an alminum alloy via bushes 37, 37. The bush 37 comprises two members, namely, an outer bush 71 and an inner bush 72 pressed into the outer bush. The outer bush is a cast-iron bush integrally cast in the crankcase while the inner bush is a steel bush. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
