The clamp has a receiving part (1) into which the entire width of band material (7) can be placed. The receiving part is connected via a hinge (4) to a closure part (2) which can press the band material into the receiving part over its entire width or almost its entire width. A locking device (3) is used to fix the closure part to the cover. An eyelet (5) is also provided on the clamp. The distance between the receiving and closure parts is chosen so that the band is held firmly in at least one direction when these two parts are locked together.
