SYSTEM FOR THE CUSTOMISED CONFIGURATION OF MOBILE TELEPHONES

The invention relates to a system for the customised configuration of mobile telephones. The inventive system is used to equip each mobile unit with a set of options which are adapted to the preferences or needs of each user. For this purpose, the mobile cellular phone unit is provided with an auxiliary programmable memory in place of the standard ROM which contains the executable program. The aforementioned programmable memory can store and maintain the configuration options which are selected by the user from an internet web page create for this purpose and which are received via the mobile telephone exchange. The new configuration is stored in the mobile unit in place of the factory-set default configuration or in place of the last configuration set by the actual user.
