The system includes a number of operational data items which are transmitted in every transmission cycle via a bus line (21) from a number of control devices to a number of end devices (12-15). The operational data items are divided into a number of degrees according to the necessity of transmission. The division is performed according to a program stored in a storage unit under the control of a control apparatus. The operational data which fall into the greatest degree of transmission necessity are transmitted once in every transmission cycle. Operational data falling into the lower degrees of transmission necessity are transmitted every few transmission cycles according to the degree of necessity. One node acts as a master node and sets the transmission cycle of message data transmitted into the bus lines with a start pulse cycle sent to the bus line. Each time interval between the start pulses is divided into time slots which are allocated to individual node devices so message data can be transmitted from respective devices in associated time slots without requiring address data.
