Method has the following steps: generation of a random number by each tag (10); generation of a check number in each tag; transfer of an overall identifier comprising one of the checking numbers, the random number and the identical code to the read device (20) by each tag and; checking of the check number in the reader. An Independent claim is made for a RFID tag with a memory (4) containing an identification code, a random number generator (2), means (5) for generating of a check number from the identification code and a generated random number and means (7) for transmitting data to a reader.
