PURPOSE: A payment intermediation service system and a method for the same are provided to enable a user to register data on a personal bluetooth device and a payment method at a service provider, and to pay for a commodity or a service at a store by using the personal data and the bluetooth device data checked at an initial bluetooth communication step. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a POS(Point Of Sales) server(2), a payment server(3), a main server(4), a communication network(5) and a bluetooth communication network(6). The main server(4) is installed at a payment intermediation service provider. The POS server(2), installed at a store, embeds a bluetooth device(2-1) and performs a payment function. The payment server(3), installed at a financial organization, approves a payment request and settles the payment. The main server(4) is connected to the POS server(2) and the payment server(3) over the communication network(5) like the internet. Personal bluetooth devices(1-1, 1-2) are connected to the bluetooth device(2-1) of the POS server(2) over the bluetooth communication network(6). Users register data on the payment method at the main server(4), then the main server(4) notifies the payment server, designated by the users, of the input payment method. The payment server(3) compares transmitted payment method with the registered payment method if it receives a payment approval request, approves the payment approval request according to the comparison result, and transmits the approval result to the main server(4).
